team	character	Player’s team, as abbreviated by OverTheCap. May list multiple teams separated by “/” when the contract spanned more than one team
is_active	logical	Whether this is the player’s currently active contract
year_signed	numeric	Year the contract was signed
years	numeric	Contract length in years
value	numeric	Total contract value in millions of dollars
apy	numeric	Average money per contract year in millions of dollars
guaranteed	numeric	Total guaranteed money in millions of dollars
apy_cap_pct	numeric	Average money per contract year as percentage of the team’s salary cap at signing
inflated_value	numeric	Total contract value inflated to account for the rise of the salary cap in millions of dollars
inflated_apy	numeric	Average money per contract year inflated to account for the rise of the salary cap in millions of dollars
inflated_guaranteed	numeric	Total guaranteed money inflated to account for the rise of the salary cap in millions of dollars
player_page	character	Player’s OverTheCap url
otc_id	numeric	Player’s OverTheCap ID
gsis_id	character	Player’s NFL GSIS ID, used to join to other nflverse data
height	character	Player height, formatted as feet’inches”
weight	character	Player weight in pounds
college	character	Player’s college
draft_year	numeric	Year the player was drafted
draft_round	numeric	Round in which the player was drafted
draft_overall	numeric	Overall pick number at which the player was drafted
draft_team	character	Team that drafted the player
date_of_birth	character	Player’s date of birth, formatted as “Month DD, YYYY”
season_history	data.frame	Nested data frame with one row per league year covered by the contract, breaking cap and cash figures down by year. Its columns are documented below with the season_history$ prefix. A final row labelled “Total” carries contract-level totals
